Wheeling University’s Psi Chi Honor Society Welcomes New Members
WHEELING, WV
Wheeling University’s oldest honor society, Psi Chi, inducted eight new members this academic year.
Psi Chi is the international honor society for Psychology. The honor society’s purpose is to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship of its members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.
Now celebrating its 52nd year on campus, the University’s Psi Chi society held induction ceremonies recently and welcomed the following students:
Elexis Brown from Chillicothe, Ohio
Justin Frenn from Wheeling, West Virginia
Katie Gamble from Moundsville, West Virginia
Kyaira Jordan from Baltimore, Maryland
Cassidy McCord from Valley Grove, West Virginia
Emily Thomas from Martins Ferry, Ohio
Abigail Witucky from Marietta, Ohio
Nicholas Vento from Waukee, Iowa
Students that are eligible for induction must be a psychology major or minor, have completed at least three semesters of coursework, maintain an overall grade point average (GPA) in the top third of their class and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Psychology coursework.
