Amber Cool Chosen to Lead the Office of Career Services Office at Wheeling University
WHEELING, W.Va., Nov. 19 – The new Coordinator of Career Services Coordinator at Wheeling University plans to use her business management experience to benefit the students at the institution.
Amber Cool was recently selected to fill this role at the University. She believes her experience in business management and small business operations will offer students a great benefit.
“I am excited to bring my experience to Wheeling University. I look forward to helping the students find their calling and assisting them discover ‘what’s next.’ I look forward to meeting with students to discuss their career interests, goals and aspirations,” Cool said.
She said choosing ‘what to do’ in life could be overwhelming for students when they aren’t sure what path to choose. “I am hoping to guide those students down a path that excites them and can lead to a bright future. My door will be open for all students looking for a sense of direction in their career pathways,” Cool added.
Connecting with local businesses to partner for internships is a priority for Cool. Partnerships, she said, will allow students to gain valuable real-world experience that will help them following graduation.
Additionally, Cool plans to offer students resume’ writing, mock interviews, job searching strategies and career fairs.
Dianna M. Vargo, Ed.D., president of Wheeling University, said the addition of Cool to the campus community will be a great benefit to the students. “The real-world experiences that Ms. Cool brings to this position will be invaluable to our students.”
