Communications major and sophomore Men’s Soccer player, McKinley Fodness recently was one of only a few student athletes selected to attend the NCAA leadership conference in Orlando FL.McKinley shared, “the NCAA leadership forum was truly a once and a lifetime experience. I went in with no expectations or really any knowledge on what we would be doing, but I quickly learned that this would be a life changing weekend. I was able to network with student-athletes and learn so much about how the NCAA works as a whole. All that aside, the environment that was created was one that allowed student-athletes to speak openly and honestly to have their voices heard. I have made friends from across that country and will cherish the bonds I made in Orlando for a long time to come. We learned many things about character and leadership development and even shaped our own personal leadership philosophies that we can take with us and build on in the future. I will never forget this wonderful experience and I was so honored to be selected to be in attendance!” Congratulations McKinley, your WJU family is proud of you!Click below to read more about what the conference was all about. http://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/leadership-development/student-athlete-leadership-forum
