Two Wheeling University Programs Named Best in West Virginia by Plexuss Global Rankings
WHEELING, WV – July 19, 2021 – Two academic programs at Wheeling University were chosen the best in the state of West Virginia by Plexuss Global Rankings, an online service.
Plexuss chose Wheeling University’s Educational Management and Psychology programs as the best offerings in West Virginia. The ranking service said the University’s Business Management programs were second in the Mountain State.
“College ranking services like Plexuss show that Wheeling University is offering its students highly regarded academic programs,” said President Ginny R. Favede. “Since 1954, this University’s dedication to providing its students a rigorous education has never wavered. This latest ranking reaffirms our commitment to this pledge.”
Plexuss notes that college rankings can be a valuable tool for students, but the number of rankings can confuse the college search process. “We’ve aggregated the college rankings of what we consider to be the most reputable ranking sources to create our ranking system. Think of Plexuss College Rankings as a rank summary of sorts, a convenient and overall ranking system that easily tells you what college ranking systems agree on. The benefit in doing this is that with Plexuss College Rankings, nearly all of the college characteristics that students and college experts care about are taken into account.” said Gary Estrabo, director of Plexus Ranking Programs.
“The 2021 Plexuss Global Rankings are proof Wheeling University provides students with a world-class, quality, Catholic education that prepares them well to enter the job market or graduate school. Small class sizes and a faculty committed to each student’s success is what sets Wheeling University apart from other small colleges in our region,” President Favede added.
This year, three other ranking services, U.S. News & World Report, Niche.com, and Stacker, have given Wheeling University and its academic program high marks. Additionally, all three rankings chose the University as a Best Value College in West Virginia.
