Wheeling University Students to Showcase Talents Monday Night
WHEELING, W.Va., March 27 – The talents of Wheeling University students will be showcased during a program Monday, March 30, inside Troy Theater.
Voices Across Borders: A Global Showcase will be a variety-style performance that will highlight international voices and cultural traditions, said William ‘Butch’ Maxwell, Program Lead for Communications department.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m., Monday in Troy Theater.
“Voices Across Borders will be an engaging and diverse program that reflects the global perspectives of our students,” Maxwell added.
Scheduled performances include:
Jordan Krafft and Autumn King will perform the Phantom of the Opera duet and will sing individual solo pieces.
Two Ethiopian students Rediet Girma and Mieraf Abera will offer a presentation exploring Easter traditions and cultural practices
Ntsika Mduba from South Africa will give a monologue performance.
Ama Kwakyaa Abankwah from Ghana and Mapalo Kulenga from Zambia will offer readings.
Students enrolled in speech course will participate.
The performance is free and open to the public.
