Wheeling University’s 2024 Homecoming King and Queen Candidates Selected
WHEELING, W.Va., Sept. 25 – Wheeling University will crown its Homecoming king and queen Saturday during half time of its football game against Fairmont State.
Five women from the senior class, along with five men have been chosen by their peers to serve on this year’s court. The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced during half time of Saturday’s football game.
The 2024 Homecoming Queen candidates are:
Shelby James, a senior from San Antonio, TX. She is an Elementary Education major and a member of the Cardinal Volleyball team.
Rylee Jones is a senior Biology and Psychology major from Grove City, Ohio. She is a member of the Student Government Senate, the Psychology Club and Bible Study.
Jade Miller is a Biology and Psychology major from Washington, PA. She is the Student Government President, the captain of the women’s swim team, a Bible student leader, vice president of the Biology Club, a member of the Psychology Club and a resident assistant.
Chylen Pate is a senior Athletic Training major from Shady Spring, WV. She is a member of the Volleyball team and a member of the Athletic Training Club.
Tessa Tordella is a senior Accounting major from Wheeling, WV. She is the president of the Campus Activities Board, senior student member of the Business department advisory board and a resident assistant.
The 2024 Homecoming King candidates include:
William (Trey) Brady a senior from Vero Beach, FL. He is a Business major and a member of the Cardinal Football team.
Joao Lima De Oliveira is a senior Biology from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. He is a member of the Football team, president of the International Student Club, president of the Hispanic Student Club, president of the Pre-Professional Student Club, as well as a member of the Biology, STEM Club, SGA Senate and Bible study.
Ty Taylor is from Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada. He is a Business major and captain of the Cardinal Lacrosse team.
Nathan Yost is a Nursing major from St. Clairsville, OH. He is captain of the Men’s Swim team, The Student Government executive board, president of the Student Nursing Association and a resident assistant.
Adam Zdanowicz is a senior from Parker, Colorado. He is a Criminal Justice major, Captain of the Men’s Lacrosse team and a resident assistant.
